1.10.4 "not a smurf" is being released

BZFlag v1.10.4 has been released. And is making its way thru the release pipeline. As builds are uploaded they will appear in the SF file release system.

This is an update version for the 1.10.x line. There are no new flags or gameplay changes. 1.10.4 is fully compatable with 1.10.2 and 1.10.0.

For windows there are now 2 difrent installers, a normal one and a "high res" one. The high res one includes better textures, but is a lot larger. Please get the one that is most apropriate for your system/download capability.

Other OS users can get the alternate_data.zip and unzip it into data\alternate

Does anyone know when version 1.11 will be out? I want to use my joystick with bzflag, and it is rumoured this will possible with the new version....

1.11 will be released as 1.12 and there is no hard release date at this time.

the versioning works like this

odd numbers are dev/beta versions even numbers are release.

we are working on 1.11.xx now, when released it will be 1.12.0

the plan after that is to work on 1.13 for a 1.14 release with some biger changes.

then after that would be the next be reacrchetecture, so it would be 1.99 or something for a 2.0 release

1.10.4 is the last "realease" version it's the one most of the servers are running.
