I have been using a callsign with

yes you are corect. The game also supports LAN and non globaly registered play, so it supports a larger set of names. If you wish to use a global name then your name must fit the message boards subset of names.

it's a name an organization i think, i think it was the name of a reacon force, i might be getting mixed up with another

Yes. Use exspastic as your callsign. In the Password: field under where you put in your callsign type the password you use here. If all works you should get a + sign next to your name in the score list.
