BZInfo Webservice

Post by Sellotaped to Insanity »

I've just released an inital test version of a XML-RPC webservice for getting info about running BZFlag gameservers. The website has all the details:

http://www.alex-moore.co.uk/software/bzinfo

It's currently in beta/test so if you feel like giving it a shot, that would be great. I've also posted a small perl script that uses all the methods. I've included common functions, but if it takes off I can add more. I might even add SOAP and REST interfaces (more likely REST than SOAP) as well at some stage.

I think something has gone seriously wrong.

When I go to the service address (assuming the script, http://ws-alex-moore.co.uk/ws-bzinfo/bzws-ws ), I get this: HTTP Status 405 - HTTP method GET is not supported by this URL !!!!!!!!!!!

The message you got is fine RPG - it means the script is there but did you you use a browser instead of a client? The xmlrpc script only accepts POSTs not GETs which aren't implemented hence the 405...

Did you use the xmlrpcTest.pl script to access it?
