It's done. Windows, Linux, and souce packages have been posted.

Head on over to sourceforge and download away.

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... up_id=3248

and as with all things it seems a mac version will be done later.

turkey is purely a server... it does not run X in any shape or form... I am trying an rpm build with with-x=no to see if I can get the bzfs component to build... it may or may not work..... any ideas for me?

your solution was provided in the channel, yes?

just a reminder....use the -anonymous switch when invoking bzflag to get rid of the email@address after your callsign........they really should put a switch in there for that.....maybe they did......oh well.........several people were asking on the servers last night.....

Bagheera, you can also edit your bzfalg config file and edit the "email" line.

i heard that......but since the email line is not in the config file, i wasnt sure it was a real.............(not being critical), but it would have been nice with this release if they had put that line in there, and if it wasnt there to use the -anonymous by default..............(going to start a new topic off of this...)

I'm trying to install the RPM that says it is for GCC2, but there are dependencies in it for GCC3 packages, specifically libstdc++.so.5, which is included in RH 8.0 and 9, but not in RH 7.3. Both RPMs give the same dependency errors on my RH 7.3 system.

Any ideas? Is there a problem with one of the rpms?

I can try to rememeber but the best way is to set a watch monitor on the bzflag.org sourceforge release page, then you will get notificiaciton when it changes.

The RPM that says it is for gcc2 gives me this error:

error: failed dependencies:

libc.so.6(GLIBC2_3) is needed by bzflag-1.7G2-1
libstdc++.so.5 is needed by bzflag-1.7G2-1
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2) is needed by bzflag-1.7G2-1

When I try to compile, the make command errors out on trying to find GL/gl.h in the file includes/bzfgl.h

I'm about to upgrade to RH 9 anyway, so this may be a moot point.
