Match length and scoring

Since 26th of May we'd like to add one more change to ducati.
Default match length will be 20 minutes, not 15.
Just to remind, there are 3 different match lengths allowed 15, 20 and 30 minutes. Before beginning /countdown, set the match length with "/timelimit 15", "/timelimit 20" (set as default) or "/timelimit 30".
When you are reporting a match, be sure to specify: Teams, score, time (in GMT) that the match ended and match length.

According to that, we'd like to change scoring also.
General rule for scores will be same as now, but calculated score will be multiplied by additional number, based on match length:
x 0,75 for 15mins, x 1,0 for 20 mins and x 1,5 for 30 mins.

Example:
Team A - current rank: 1400
Team B - current rank: 1300

result: Team A 1 - 3 Team B

new ranks for 20 mins match (current rule):
Team A - 1368
Team B - 1332

new ranks for 15 mins match (x 0,75):
Team A - 1376
Team B - 1324

new ranks for 30 mins match (x 1,5):
Team A - 1352
Team B - 1348

glad you asked :)

Generally, we want to reward those teams, which plays longer matches - that's working on gu and we think that's a good idea, and also - many players was
We'd like to keep same proportion between match lengths and ratio changes. But, unlike gu, ducati matches were usually played shorter, so if we don't want to have too big changes in score - we decide to set 20 mins as 'regular length'.

But if you have any other ideas, I'd be happy to hear them.

I like this idea.....The point differential makes logical sense!
I always thought the first DucCouncil should have instituted point differentials for the different match times when they made the 15, 20, 30 min match change. In their defense, I think there was no one with the time /inclination to code the change then.

Now we have osta and I appreciate all the time and effort he gives to Ducati!
