We are pleased to announce the formation of a Ducati League Council. This council, currently consisting of 10 members, will address issues and concerns of the league. The council will vote on appropriate issues, and will have the authority to take action as required.

The initial council members are:
Blue Eyes, FantaZee, freelancer, learner, orange, quantum dot, SportChick, sussi, The Red Baron, and wizard.

These players were carefully chosen in an attempt to represent all active teams, with a preference to league vets, those which are easy to contact, and those who are willing to participate. The initial council will be responsible for adding more members as needed.

In addition, a Council Advisor Board has been created consisting of Chestal, menotume and [dmp].

Please use this forum to discuss issues which the council should be aware of.

The council is ready to hear what the players want in order to improve the league!!!!

The council and advisors will be working on a 'League Charter' and 'League Bylaws'. When we have a draft ready, we will announce it here for all to review. These documents will define the roles of the League Council and League Advisors.

The current plan, until the bylaws are in place, is for the Ducati League Council to vote on appropriate issues. Issues are such items as: Procedures to punish cheaters and behaviour which is disruptive to the league, match rules, how to make the league more active, etc. The 'Ducati League Advisors' are a group which will enforce the League Charter, and participate in governence issues (bylaws), but will not vote on day-to-day issues.

There have been a number of inquiries about the council and where it conducts business. The vast majority of discussions are conducted either on this forum or on irc channel ##ducleague on the freenode server. If you are looking for a council member or want to engage in a discussion, that's the place to be.
