Could not resolve host

Post by Legolas_ »

Ok, i have a fully configured config and a new subdomain
when i start my server i get this error:

Code: Select all

File transfer terminated with error from libcurl 7 : Could not resolve host: my.bzflag.org (Domain name not found)
Do i need to specify the list server address with;
-publiclist ??

This i pressume is what stops me from having a public server.

that is a problem with your network/ISP, not a setting in bzflag.

Check:

that your ports are forwarded from your router properly

that your firewall is allowing connections

that the address you're sending people is still current (often IP addresses change. Mine does about every 3-5 days)

Might not hurt to have a read through the bzfs man page again about how to setup and advertise a server.
