Getting servers online

im am having touble getting my map online.
i have opened up firewall and i have a map and bzfs config file/
i just dont know what to do

ps.
im new to the so keep replies simple

for these sorts of questions we need more information to answer them.

ie: What is your operating system?
Do you have a router?
Have you made the proper exceptions on your firewall/router?
Can we have a copy of your conf file so we can verify it is correct?

Is this supposed to be a public server?
(if it is, think about whether you are ready to host a public server, factors have to be considered - what is your internet speed, for most people it would not be enough to host a good public server, keep in mind only about 30 out of 200 servers even get used)

Please keep in mind for public servers there is a lot more to do than you can read in that link, that one is just the most simple way getting it to run. Not how to have it secure.

That means if you want your server to be public you should know what you're doing (and have no need to ask).
