Unofficial CVS builds for debian (.deb + repository)

I've created a repository with 2.0.9 (CVS) version of BZFlag and BZFlag server. Both source and binary (for i386) are available.

I'll try to update/upload new binaries when there is reason to (=changes).

To install on your debian system:

1) Download manually and install
Download the .deb file (e.g: http://debian.koderen.dk/binary/bzflag_ ... 1_i386.deb ), then use "dpkg -i bzflag_2.0.9.20060813-1_i386.deb" to install it

2) Use it as a repository to install.
To add my repository, you need to change /etc/apt/sources.list adding the following 3 lines:

#Unofficial BZFlag CVS builds
deb http://debian.koderen.dk binary/
deb-src http://debian.koderen.dk source/

Then use: apt-get as normal (if you got bzflag install, a "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" should install the CVS version, if you dont have BZFlag, just install it normally: apt-get install bzflag)

Feel free to use it and report any problems.

Now that JeffM have announced some Super-Pre-Alpha builds I've updated my repository to feature bzflag v2.1.x builds too. I've renamed bzflag v2.1.x to bzflaghead/bzfshead (so use bzflaghead to start bzflag v2.1.x) - while bzflag v2.0.9 keeps bzflag/bzfs

Feel free to grap them from:

The v2.0.9 build have also just been updated:

emmm... i got errors when trying to install.... I've pu the errors in a file, or it would have been a big post.

The errors seem VERY self-explanatory to me. You need to upgrade/install the packages it lists. Or, build your own client from CVS so that it matches your installed packages. It's up to you to decide which is the safer and more desirable solution.
