When did the Rosetta build come out?

Post by BinarySpike »

My friend got an intel mac recently. After installing it a I slapped myself on the head and said, "Oh no! They haven't released intel builds yet!"

But to my amazement it worked... When did the Rosetta (intel) build for mac come out?

There isn't an official Intel build afaik. Rosetta is not an Intel build. From Apple's site:
Behind the scenes, Rosetta dynamically translates most of your PowerPC-based applications to work with your Intel-based Mac.
