New technique I've come up with...
I've come with an interesting technique that might prove useful in CTF matches that have superflags.
It's called the CLST (Pronounced "closet".) and it's basically how it sounds.
A cloaker (CL) and stealther (ST) infiltrate an enemy base together while keeping in very close proximity to each other and then split up when spotted to cause confusion.
There's only one tank on screen, and only one on radar, but the trick to the whole thing is that they're not the same tank!
I think this could be particularly useful on the Missile War server.

Stop chewing that phonecord, young man!
Yeah, a really neat idea. The problem would be trying to get two people with the appropriate flags to work together, which is often difficult. More experienced players can "think as one" with other players more easily, so it might happen. Would have been a nice tactic on the Overlord map back in the Silvercat days.

My favorite is a laser and a cloak working together. Cloak has to watch his shots, try to stay in front of the laser.
Works with laser and burrow too.

Take a look at my Defender game mode concept.
Thinking is not an automatic process. A man can choose to think or to let his mind stagnate, or he can choose actively to turn against his intelligence, to evade his knowledge, to subvert his reason. If he refuses to think, he courts disaster: he cannot with impunity reject his means of perceiving reality.

If it's a good techniqe you want , then this is mine....
---->Call someone on skype (another BZFlag player obviosly)
---->Start up BZFlag
---->Agree on which map you are both going to join.
---->Join it
---->And now you can play and talk to one and other without having to type
It's better than you think .

This is a good idea but it would increase your lag.PETER wrote:If it's a good techniqe you want , then this is mine....

I have done this With WarPig using msn and i couldnt play due to my lag.
None the less great idea
A friend and I tried something similar to your CL+ST idea, only we used WG and CL on Planet Mofo. My friend had CL, and would plant himself between a teleporter box and one of the pyramids, and I would fly directly above him, about 30-40 units high. When people came by, they thought it was only me with Wings, and my friend would shoot them.
Needless to say, it got boring pretty quick. However, if we could have been good enough to move around and still look like one tank on the radar, it would have been awesome.

That's quite a good tactic But boring after a while no doubt.Jefenry wrote:A friend and I tried something similar to your CL+ST idea, only we used WG and CL on Planet Mofo.
