Server help...

Hi i am new here and i have a bit of a problem

When ever i try to join a server it always says "error connecting to server" no matter what the server is it always says that.
any help would be appreciated

So you highlight the find a server option, hit enter, and it gives you a list. You highlight one and hit enter. You then get the error, right? (just making sure you're doing the normal thing)

Are you behind a firewall? If you are, that's good, but sometimes, you need to grant specific access to bzflag before you can connect to the outside world. Can any of the devs confirm that the list request goes out via port 80? I could see a firewall rule that would allow you access to port 80 (the port you browse the web over) but block 5154 (the default bzfs port)

If you're still stumped, you might want to tell us what operating system you're using.
