Light show at Divibox

Post by macsforme »

Earlier today TangenT was *cough* messing with some variables on Divibox WingsWizardry, and the result came out kind of cool. Check out:

for some screenshots. (Warning: there's about 6MB worth of images).

Wow, nice.

To go off Divibox but sticking with the theme of lasers, here's another screenshot. It isn't mine, I don't know who's it is or where it was taken but I found it posted here on these forums.

Seems to have be taken a long time ago.

Actually most of the laser and thief beams were ineffective... I was driving through them with Wings at high altitude with no effect. It even seemed like you would fire, and the beams would fire and then disappear, but then someone was destroyed by them 30 seconds later. I think maybe they disappeared on the player's screen but continued to appear on other players' screens (so I think I was seeing other players' laser & thief bolts). Maybe some kind of bug.

Reloading causes the local client to delete the bullets. Once they fire again, their old shots on remote clients would be overwritten.

CL flag wins again!

Isn't there a variable that determines how close you have to be to a laser before it kills you? Maybe they turned that way down so it's almost impossible to get hit.
