Units? Could you clarify on that please? If it means certain players who specialize in that flag then yes, that would be VERY helpful if you could actually get people to do it in a regular game.

P.S. Good luck with that...

If you mean an actual feature in the game then probably no, It would be too hard to code. (or just make the game too complex)

sorta like specialists in the real army? I would like that. The only problem with the map is laser spamming. A laser specialist wouldn't be good, same with geno.

It appears that this could be done with a modification to the FlagOnSpawn plug-in. I am not familiar with exactly how the plug-in works, so I do not know how extensive the any modifications wiould need to be. Though I imagine very few will be required.

Maybe somebody could make a whole new server where it makes it look like you are in the real army and the spawn points would be made so there was a certain pathway you would have to follow so people would go around in squads. There would have to be no ricochet though I would think.

Easy to say, hard to implement. The problem with most players is that they just want to join in, blow stuff up, and then leave. They don't want to be given orders on what to do, they don't care about playing as a team, and they don't like maps that force those ideas on them.

And even so, to acquire a large troop, you would need quite a few people to join for it to work. So what would you do if there's only 3-4 people? A good map should scale to the number of people on the map.

You have a very good point, so make a league. Ask to join and you're in, but let observers talk
