Chess compared with Games United League (HiX)

Post by Knox »

I thought about new tactics and than i had this idea.
What if we make some sectors (8x8) for better understanding of special tactics. Nothing special, just a suggestion.
Please excuse the bad quality of the picture, i made in about 10 minutes.
Find it here.

Sounds like a nice feature for leagues (no matter if for practice only or for official matches too). I'd suggest an uneven number of fields since many maps have "axes" defined by team bases or central objects ... but a grid for team movement coordination might be interesting.

This might be an interesting idea for a client-side implementation via LUA (see trepan's lua topic), because any other way doesn't seem worth the effort (BZFlag devs are needed for much more important stuff *g*).
A pessimist is an optimist with experience... ;o)
