Physics Arena v1.1~ by Metroid Prime

Post by Crallion »

Here is my first map that I have made that i am satisfied with. You can download the file below and check it out. If anyone would like to host it on their server, tell me.

Anyway, about the map. The whole base is a bunch of physics drivers and there is a surprise box in the middle of the map. It is pretty simple. I will probably come out with more versions (which will be more complicated), but here is the current Physics Arena. Hope you like it.

Alright, I tried to run it but my server kept crashing because of the map, there is an error somewhere in it, I tried to find it but I couldn't.

the error is in "-a 0 0"
remove it, works fine then (on 2.99, anyway).

This map is really similar to my "as simple as it gets" map, exept this one has jumpers on all sides.
Rest in peace, AliceD (AKA Happy Alice)! miss ya!

Amazing, but I would say the border jumps are too predictable, you could be easily shot as you land. Wings doesn't react well with physics, thought it was what I tried to get. Gm might also not work well with the speed everyone is pushed to.

To Agent West~ yes, it should look similar to yours. I got the inspiration for mine from you.

To Positive Gravity~ I don't know what is wrong because it doesn't happen to me. Sorry about that

To Tobylane~ Thanks for the input, I hadn't thought about the GM. I might take those out and replace them with something else. The wings might work well though, because it would give the people with wings an advantage.

Thanks for the input, I will try to address these problems in v1.2. It can only get better (hopefully).

Please specify a license for the map:

Ummm, I would like it to be a GNU, I guess. I'm not really sure about all the licensing stuff, I just don't want anybody to steal it and claim it to be their own work, or change it slightly and claim it.

Other than that, all I know is that I made it with ibzedit and then edited in a plain text editor.
Is that what you wanted?

GNU is not a license. You might want to check out the Creative Common's licenses:

Maybe "Attribution" or "Attribution Share Alike".

I guess the license will be "Attribution Share Alike". That one seems good.
