Castles to Castles - A red versus green CTF

Post by Spectre »

This map's name was a play on the saying "Ashes to ashes" (Wild laughter! No? Polite chuckling? Still no? Okay, quiet breathing and a heartbeat? Thank you.). It is hand coded, and everything is ready. Please, do not add flags. I posted screenshots, but the map is too large to get it all in three pictures. Please test it before you host. This map is released under Public Domain.

A note to hosts: When hosting this map, you will get the message: Unable to position flags on this world. This is not a bug or error. It is because of my genocide flag positioning, you will see when you test the map.

UPDATE: Flag safety zones were previously not working, I've fixed the problem. The team flags now spawn in the same place as the genocide flags. New version posted.

Looks really good. I like the base layout. Can't wait to play it. :D

Besides appearing to be highly difficult to navigate, nicely done.

Just played it now, a bit with Ghost. It's a pretty good map. The shockwave is a bit confusing. SW flag is useful because it's fairly large. Laser spamming is far too common, and for similar reasons tking. It's not that the shots are bouncing around and killing teammates, or that it's too fast, but it's somewhere inbetween. I think there needs to be more things to bounce shots high, like in missile wars. Otherwise very good, different. Try to avoid blue pyramids, and there are enough driveinable pyramids.
