Hey, I need some help getting BZflag to work properly on my laptop. It used to work fine on the same laptop, running Linux Mint 6. Then I installed Linux Mint 7 and now I am having this issue.
When I start up the game it goes to full screen, but it is tiny. The rest of the screen is black, and the game is shrunken in the bottom left corner.
Please help, thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Can't play BZflag
You could try starting BZFlag with the switch -geometry <widthxheight>, where you replace <widthxheight> with your screen resolution. For example, I might put -geometry 1280x800
Anyone know if there is an option to change this permanently in the config file?

Re: Can't play BZflag
That seems to have corrected my issue. I ran and it's now back to normal. Also when I start the game through the menu. Thanks
Code: Select all
bzflag -geometry 1280x768
Re: Can't play BZflag
The "geometry" setting gets stored in the configuration, and is normally only used for playing in a window. So, you can also use "-geometry default" to clear that setting, or you can locate it manually in the configuration.
