Acutally, Propane: We haven't heard from Fooey for a while. I'm going to go PM him and see if he responds.

If he doesn't you could have his one 100x100 square ;)

Learn to use a text editor. This is the best time to learn :)

I did that a long time ago too going from 8.04 to 8.10 or something similar to that. There are plenty of articles to get GRUB working again and booting to your windows partition, so just look around and you should be bale to find something. Besides,

And I write up my maps purely by text editor. But maybe I'm just a conceptually visual person. :lol-old:

no, grub works, but windows vista doesn't always boot the first try with grub. it might take 5 attemps before i get into windows, so i use easybcd and the boot configuration file got all messed up. and i could use a text editor, but would take forever and a lot of testing to get everything where you want it.

I think the saying goes, "Practice makes perfect," which is entirely true in this case.

You won't learn unless you try. Recently someone did alot of work on the Editing by Hand wiki page.

Maybe you should check that out :)

Would anyone be willing to give up some space? (unless we can expand the map size) I'm pretty good with the map designing stuff.
Some day you will go on BzFlag and see that every server on the list has a least 20 players on it.

I could stick another 200 units on the left side of the map, but I want to be sure that the spaces can be taken up. (it'd be 16 more spaces)

Probably there will be someone who doesn't finish their sections, so if you want to create a section or two we may very well end up scrambling to find someone to fill in the missing spots when we get to the end.

Yes. Adding MORE spots is probably not going to happen at this point.

Like I was saying, if we don't hear back from Fooey soon we might have one 100x100 spot open for the taking.

See the layout here: (EDIT: http://s.bzextreme.com/98306792)

IF you do add more units, I would like a square of 4 spaces.

On a side note: Does anyone know how to create a box where I can have the box invisible from the outside, and have stuff on the inside?
Soon we will be facing bots that we can't beat...

I don't think you can have a box hide objects within it, that is, you can have a box itself be invisible on the outside, but visible on the inside, but you can't hide the objects in it. (No "invisibility cloak")
