They were added, before it was sorted out, to prevent this from occuring in the future. This whole situation has left a sour taste in my mouth. If I had looked at the license more carefully, I could've seen this coming, prevented it, and this whole thing would have never happened. If anyone is to blame here it's me, not him, and I don't want to hear anyone blaming him, for something I caused.
