autokick: Player tank is moving too fast

Post by PIC18F2550 »

Google

I have installed 2.4.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 and get this error message on some servers.
I have not changed the code.

Can someone help me?

Sorry but I can not speak English.

How many are "some"? Just one or two? of several of the servers you play on?
I'm not sure, but I think this might be caused by jitter, as your computer lags behind, and then tries to catch up real fast. What are your lagstats while playing (type "/lagstats" in the chat)?

It is probably not a network issue. It might be that the game is running too fast or too slow. Press the 't' key while playing on a server. Some small text will appear on the screen labeled "FPS". This is how many frames (images) are drawn per second. If you could provide us with that number, we might be able to determine the issue.

I am also interested in the graphics hardware and driver being used, as well as what BZFlag shows as the renderer.

It would be great if someone that speaks/writes/reads German could help him out so he can obtain that information.
