This is a red versus green 2-team CTF-style map. The bases are on a dog bone shaped island in the middle of the map. Bounce pads provide access to the cliffs, which provide sniping opportunities as well as access to the underwater area via teleporters.

Enjoy.

Ah, the test map you had up earlier this week. AWESOME map, Constitution - simple while still being incredibly frustrating at times.
And the lesson for tonight is:

Never underestimate the ability of a newb to expect instant success and cry "cheat!" when they don't get it. Don't hate the newb, just give them plenty of learning opportunities. ;)

Make two meshes and a teleporter. Put the teleporter slightly under the top mesh and have the lower mesh catch the tank.

Constitution - great map.

Love being able to play on it :)

The gameplay is great and as usual its very nice to look at :P

In my opinion, there are still a few to many flags though. Maybe try taking a few of them out?

Otherwise nice work :D

Also, does Identify still report all flags as Steamroller (I ask because I haven't had an opportunity to play on it since it was still in testing)?

They issue with ID identifying every flag as PZ (it was PZ, wasn't it?) was an odd problem, but I removed all the ID and all the PZ before posting the map. Now that we've played it a few times, I thought about adding IB flags and possibly giving the bouncers enough velocity to bounce you to the cliffs without jumping... thoughts?

IB flags would be nice and yes i think the bouncers would be better without having to jump. It will save a few noobs some extra deaths and frustration ;)

Definatly add more bounce to the jumpers. Maybe change the laser so it can still cover the length of the map but not have insane spam like it does now. You could also add some pyramids to the lower main level to also control the laser ricochet. I'd also recommend removing some of the flags as there are a bit to many of them.

I noticed that the sides aren't used very much, this may be because the jumpers are harder to use.

I have updated the map. Changes include:

* Added Invisible Bullet flags
* Reduced the quantity of most flag types
* Shortened the Laser range (it can still reach from one corner of the map to the other)
* Made the cliff bouncers larger and made them bounce farther
* Completely redesigned the cliff towers

Currently up at fairserve.bzflag.net:5154.

Enjoy.

Cool beans. I like the new cliff structures as they look more sophisticated :)

Did you get a new server? Or who are you hosting with?

I just threw my server stuff back on my cheap VPS... hosting isn't that great. If you still have a server and are willing to put it back up, go for it. :-)

Updated the map again, with changes to the teleporters so that the burrow zones work correctly in BZFlag 2.4.
