Blue

Post by [honc] »

[imho] ..

Blue is evil .. I know i am still lame but blus is not nice.
Red .. red you can see also green yellow and purple so it is
[specialy for a noob like me] easyer to dodge ..

But blue .. Blue is evil!

I tryed to make it a bit more visible but as i sayed before
So if anyone [ANYONE] will give me a hint how to handle this stuff i will
be very thankfull [sort of].

Btw i mean BLUE not the players that use blue mostly they are better
players than me [not very hard to be].

Well then and thanks for hunting me :)

Are you talking about the tanks in the world, or the radar?

I thought you could redefine colors in the config file by inputing RGB or HSV numbers, but I can't find any such thing. I'm sure you could change it by changing the source and compiling it yourself though.

Have you tried changing the opacity of the radar, or making the radar itself larger?

There are configuration options for the radar colors. For example, adding this to your config file would make red tanks show up as blue:

Code: Select all

set radradar "0 0 1"
The three numbers are Red, Green, and Blue, on a range of 0 to 1 (with decimals valid). I think you can also use color codes.

Here is the list of color options you can set, with the first half mainly (or only) affecting the 3D tank colors when textures are disabled:

Code: Select all

roguecolor
redcolor
greencolor
bluecolor
purplecolor

rogueradar
redradar
greenradar
blueradar
purpleradar

Oh pretty nice !

Last night i got my first steps into the sorce code
and i was thinking i will not find anything .. but whith all the
hints i am sur that i will find a way to adjust it in the way i like.

It will take some time to do it right
..but anyway it is a nice thing to do on rainy days ..

But now the sun is out [a rare moment in my place] so
i put it away and have fun in the RL

Thanks a lot i will show what i found [if its work] and ask
if it is OK when i start to use my mod .

I know exactly what you mean about blue tanks/bullets being very difficult to see on radar. I had a very, very difficult time with that and would actually make a point to put all the blues on hunt whenever joining a match, until I found out I could change my config file so that anything on the radar relating to the blue team would instead be colored cyan, which is way easier to see. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate it from green, but you get used to it after a while, and at least you can see them.

I achieve this effect by setting latitude.
One of these should work for you. (depends on Winter/Summer & server)
/localset latitude 0
/localset latitude 90
/localset latitude 180
After typing the command, wait a second or 2 for it to take effect. Currently 0 or 180 are appropriate (depending on server)
When the season changes I generally update my config, after I get fed up typing the command :-).
