HiX Doubles Challenge

Post by macsforme »

There will be another funmatch tournament on Saturday, March 29, 2014, starting at 17:30 GMT. Here is a universal clock with the start time of the event: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... 40329T1730.

For more information and to register, visit http://doubles.guleague.org.

The primary difference from the previous event will be that registration will close 10 minutes prior to the event start time, rather than 48 hours ahead of time. This will allow last-minute changes to teams in case a team member fails to show up, and will also allow players to form new teams just before the event. Additionally, the event capacity has been increased to up to 32 teams. A side effect of this change is that if the bracket does not fill completely and you are in a higher ranked team, you may have to wait for a match to finish before your first competitor is determined.

The rest of the rules have remained the same. Please post here with any questions or concerns. Good luck!

This is a reminder that this event is taking place this Saturday at 17:30 GMT (see the universal clock in the original post for the exact time in your area).

Registration will be open until about 10 minutes prior to the event. Several people have told me they are still looking for a partner, so if you don't have a partner but would still like to play, just show up a bit early and you should be able to find someone. In order to make this as smooth as possible, please make sure you have at least signed into the site at http://doubles.guleague.org so your partner can find you.

For the sake of convenience, and also in case all the official match servers are used, tournament matches may be played on the event server at doubles.guleague.org, ports 5157, 5158, 5160, or 5161. The procedure for returning to port 5158 to report the results of your match to an admin is still the same.

See you there!
