is it possible to instead of banning a player, to silence them from server side and yet allow them to play? and is it possible to have a "silent" server?
on ducati lately i see alot of "f@$k you" lately from blown up tankers, towards everyone. so instead of banning the player or silencing from player client, could we not silence the player all together based on ip type ban system?
normally bad word filters would block that easy (with or without an admin present) .
to peeps that aren't familiar with most of the servers out there ...if you like the 2 team-2 shot random map CTF format , quols' server does have the filter enabled .
If you are refering to the "k" command or to "/silence", ANY player can do that, and it only affects his game experience. I am not aware of any method by which the player can be silenced server-wide.
I like the idea, it isn't too tough to implement, however, it can be abused, and if servers become "silent servers", this isn't much fun. In a way, it is both good and bad. I'll let you all battle it out
