ok, I've got ActiveDeath(tm) Implemented
I just ordered:
10 high voltage tasers
9 bottles of arsenic
8 sharpened axes
7 super sleeping pills
6 psycho servo's
5 rolls of duct tape
4 hypodermic needles
3 french guitines
2 shot guns
and some C4, from the military

(To be sung to the tune of "The Twelve Days of Christmas"

Ya, you'll soon have more realistic deaths in BzF.

Btw, I claim the position of "Super chair builder man"

ok, i've got a game controller to work with here.
This is my plan, so I don't need to do anything complicated:
Construct several motion sensors, mount on chair.
Have these hooked up to switches (on low power motors), which control higher power motors. These higher power motors control the game pad. I'll write a python script which interprets the input on the on the game pad and turns it into keyboard commands, which bzlfag will use. Hmm, I do have some strong motors. I wonder if force feedback is possible...

Well, I'll start building once I finish my Hw.

ya, its the one from parallax. Not quite sure how to use it, but I know a little C and a little Basic. I might bypass it completely and just modify a game controller I have though, as I want to use parts easily available. Any suggestions for building a motion sensor? I'm thinking a small tin can, with a metal weight hanging of a wire. When the chair spins, the weight hits the side, completing the circuit (cause it acts as one electrode). Also, what should I register for forwards and backwards motion?

Jump: Chair raises up a little.
Hit ground: Chair jerks downward, then slowly returns up to normal position

Get Shot: Pulse up and down while side to side

Shoot: Slightly jerk backwards

Turn: Chair dips a little to the opposite way your turning. (might be a little hard)

Accellerating: Chair dips back a little

Decelerating: Chair dips forward a little

There's my idea for the chair's reactions to in game situtaions.

You could put some of those "low rider" shocks under it for force feedback.

An air cannon for gun sound effects (you will need a hydraulic pump and air compressor for these).

A paintball gun that fires into your chest for each bullet that hits you is a must.

A set of police emergency lights to "Blind" and "jam" you.
Politically correct BZ: A kinder, gentler Guided Missile.
