Roaming

Post by The Gecko »

How do you get to upper levels of a map while you're roaming, or can you?
I think it's possible, because I saw the water fight screenshot, but I don't know how to do it. :?

Join as observer, and use the arrow keys with CTRL, SHIFT,
and ALT to move around. The F8 key will switch the observer
mode, and the F6 and F7 keys will cycle through the players.
You can also play with F9, F10, and F11 to change your
viewing angle.

How do you get up onto an object? How do you get off the ground while you're roaming?

Shift-Down means up. Likewise, Shift-Up goes down. Don't yell at me, it's Tupone's fault :) It's supposed to be more like a flight sim I guess.

okay maybe its me, but have the roaming keys been all screwed up
you no longer have a choice with SHIFT,CTRL,ALT you have to have
1 or the other for key mapping....

i can either use SHIFT arrow to go up and down and rotate
or ALT arrow to go left right forward and back...
and CTRL dont tilt anymore.......

It's you. CTRL tilts for me just fine. Try moving away your config file and see if that helps.

But if you terminate it you'll lose all your settings. Just rename it with a different extention. Moved away enough, don'tcha think?

Memnarch: So you can put it back if it didn't fix anything :)

sid: just rename it or move it out of my bzflag files\2.0. to anywhere. just so that bzflag can't find it anymore, and will be forced to make a new one.
