I take it you're on Linux if you just type bzflag and not bzflag.exe, am I correct?

Try
Code: Select all
bzflag -solo 10 -directory /usr/share/games/bzflag/
where /usr/share/games/bzflag/ is the path to your bzflag data directory.

You always had to type the directory. Have you been Linux addicted? You also have to type the file extension, such as bzflag.exe

You have to be in the correct directory (like c:\program files\bzflag2.0.2\) to prevent having to type -directory. Just open the command prompt, and type this:
cd \program files\bzflag2.0.2
and then
bzflag -solo 10

A couple of other ways: Start/Programs/accesories/command promp
Create a shortcut and edit the properties so it reads:
"c:\path\to\bzflag\bla.bla.bla\bzflag.exe" - solo 787845
or whatever amound you want to play with.
P.S. Try not to go over 49 bots. The game crashes even with player limits at 200.
