unfortunately RPG and Lirael are mistaken...
Jumping people are harder to hit. I go for not jumping. Its easier for kills, because any noob can hit "TAB" or equivelant, but i've yet to find the noob that can dodge....
the saying is completely true "he who jumps least, kills most"
Mr. hanky is right. no jumping is better, strictly because of a higher learning curve.

how hard is it to hit tab?and all the newbies can't get the hang of it

It depends on the side your on!
If you're on the Newbie then no jumping.
(you get much, much better)
If you're good then %100 JUMPING!!!
(much easyer to kill a jumping person)
Just wait till they get juuuust before they land and open fire!!!
(boom, another point)

I was saying jumping servers are fun because newbis mostly misuse jumping and jumpp instead of dodge, therefore if an experienced player didn't jump but dodged, he'd have the newbie tank in his scoreboard once he landed. The Red Baron wrote:unfortunately RPG and Lirael are mistaken...

it sounds nice in fore-site and does work. But in my case... I"d rather kill them on the ground dead, instead of having them jump, and continue to dodge the other people so i can get the kill on the landing.BinarySpike wrote:WHAT??? NO!!!Jumping people are harder to hit.

in Your case you probally play on a big map, or a map with few players.
there is nothing more irritating to me, then shooting a perfect un-dodgeable spread, and then watch the person jump to safety on a building, or jump, and another person engages me, I shot at them, they jump, other person has landed, and now engages me, other player lands in safty, and again i'm engaged....
I continue that vicious cycle until the opponets are exterminated, or I am. I don't jump to avoid bullets, thats a bad habit to start. I jump to travel, or reach some one on a building...

I'm with The Red Baron because jumping is just a delay. Noobs jump all the time to delay things, and noobs with lag jump and jump by holding down the Tab key like litte frightened chipmunks. So your kill on them might be stolen by another player who happens to pop in while you're waiting for the noob to fall.

Unless their jump delays a kill when they're many others around...BinarySpike wrote:Then get them when they land.
unless they laaaaggggg and become "bouncy", continually wasting your time trying to kill them...
unless they have WG with a high jump count.
Servers without jump enabled are by far more a more "accurate" experience in shooting and dodging. Nothing is more silly to me than an FFA server with something stupid like a shot count of 10. This invites swarms of noobs, logging in from modems, having sporadic lag of 500+ms, and jumping like mad.

It still all sounds good on paper, but lets stick in it in the HUD and Radar.... Where are the 1vs1 jumping sites out there? Could it be you play on isolated servers with 3-4 players? if so then your ideas are not the norm, seeing as the majority of players are on hepcat, Secretplace, and Gamesunited. Both have jumping enabled and reach their player limit daily, secret has 10 shots, hepcat and gamesunited only have 3 shots.BinarySpike wrote:True! So you're kill on them might be stolen by another player who happens to pop in while you're waiting for the noob to fall.
But, one-on-one, it's easyer to do do this:Then get them when they land.shooting a perfect un-dodgeable spread
so my situation of
is the norm, its always happening. Rarely do you get a person to jump, and you get the kill all to yourself. Esp on Secretplace and Hepcat.and then watch the person jump to safety on a building, or jump, and another person engages me, I shot at them, they jump, other person has landed, and now engages me, other player lands in safty, and again i'm engaged....

Since I used to play CTF, I bring my dodging skills into my FFA game. Usually I don't jump unless I can't see a hole in their line of shots. If I can find one, I dodge. In most situations on the ground, you will find me dodging not jumping since I find jumping puts me at a huge disadvantage.
So, I find dodging more effective then jumping.
