You can just download the source and compile it yourself :)

(or do as I'm doing and skipping 2.0.4 altogether, from 2.0.3 CVS to 2.0.5 CVS for me :))
Cop @ Far, far, far too many servers. (How the heck am I meant to visit them all regularly?)

Mac version will be posted as soon as learner builds it and posts it.
There was a problem with the first windows binary that was posted, it will say 2.0.3 stable, but it really is 2.0.4 stable. The binary was updated, but may take some time to copy to all the mirrors

considering you never really reported a bug about it, just said it crashed, there isn't much we can do.

best is to fill out a bug report on SF with as much info as you can get.
It dosn't crash for eveyrone else, so I am guessing it's something specific to your system.

I'm not going to risk making a sourceforge account, partly because of family rules.
RPG AlliedArmour
I have the same thing too, tried windows firewall and everything
CATALYST
DSL MODEM
VERIZON AND EARTHLINK(yes, 2 ISPs meshed together, didn't think they could do that  )
WINDOWS FIREWALL(kept on for safety purposes)
CONNECTION UPDATES ON
AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS ON
WINDOWS XP FIREWALL EDITION

all that is the max my system will allow without breaking stuff, and ATi CATALYST is my graphics.(that explains the CATALYST thing in that list  )

lockup with burrow

Post by Mozul »

Hello All. I just installed BZ 2.0.4 and played at secretplace for a while. I had burrow flag and was turning and all of a sudden, I got the mouse cursor on screen and bz no longer responded. I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get the process killed. I was being chased, and could have been near a block or something.

Sorry, but what about the Obelisk-Package? Will somebody do one?
Since I was not able to compile 2.0.2 on my own (on Linux) and couldn't find a rpm which was bulilt with SDL-support I was glad to have the Obelisk-thing. It allowed me to minimze the client for example.

So... I would greatly appreciate such a package for 2.0.4.

Um... I never remember mine crashing. I always use CVS, so naturally it may have crashed once or twice, but that's what you get for playing with CVS.

This stable bulid works fine for me.

We don't do Obelisk. The Obelisk guy (Gregor R?) does the BZFlag Obelisk packages, bug him if you want one.

Mac Binary is posted

Post by learner »

The Mac binary is now posted in the files section. The build should work on 10.2+, please report if it doesn't work for you. Thanks to CBG and menotume for narrowing down the background image selection.. save your great screenshots and submit them for future releases if you want.. ;)

A small notice of warning.. some users have already noticed problems with this version crashing on certain maps (regardless of the OS). If you run into that problem, try changing your settings (e.g. select a lower quality, disable lighting, etc) to see if you can find a setting that works. Report any results you find to the BZFlag Bug tracker on the sourceforge project site.

... enjoy!
