DTREMENAK SERVERS DOWN! WHAT HAPPENED?

The DTRemenak servers are down! They've been down for a long time now and I want to know where they went... What happened? They're pretty much the only servers I enjoy so bzflag isn't much fun for me now that they are down....... please help me!!!!!! Could someone else run hide n seek hills maybe? on a different server?

Going out on a hunch here... but I do believe they are now test servers for the in development 2.1 versions of the game.

Yes, all of his servers have gone to 2.1, sorry if you don't like that, I do.

I went on 2.1 today, and the only server running was blast's anti-cheat server.

Must have broken protocol while I was sleeping.

Yes, my servers have migrated to 2.1. If people really want me to, I can duplicate some of them on the 2.0 protocol...just tell me which ones.

There is no version 2.1..... i just downloaded the newest one and it's called version 2.0.4................................. And if you mean 2.0.1, there isn't that either................................... I'M FRUSTRATED!

2.1 is in developement. You need to knoww how to checkout CVS and build it.

CVS means "Concurrent Version System" It's a way for developers to work on the same code and keep it updated with all of them.

I know how to checkout CVS (and build on Mac/Linux), but you need to be comfortable with the command line. Search around the forums or start a new topic in the "Help: CVS/Compiling" forum.

BTW, If you are Windows I can't help you.

2.1 is in heavy dev right now anyways, I would not attempt compiling and playing on it if I were you. (you CAN, but DTR apprently hosts the only 2.1 servers and is not backwards-compatible)

EDIT:
And I will be hosting Hide 'n Seek Hills for awhile so there's no sense in trying to build a client just for one server. (in which I will be hosting the same map)

2.1 is the next version we are working on.
It is in development ( people coding on it ).

you probalby dont' want to use 2.1 as it will change very fast.

Just tell DTR what map you'd like to have him host on 2.0.x and then play it with your 2.0.4 version.

I will post here as soon as it is up. It should be as soon as DTR sends me the map and when I'm the computer to set it up. (which is a piece of cake, because I host anyways)

Spamming is doing more posts then needed. It is not the forums fault.
