Any BIG steps in future?
I was wondering if BZFlag is going to take any BIG steps. Like will it take steps into more relism like counter-strike,well not that good but away from like the tank shape and blob bullets. Im cool with this version but speaking from me I would like a more enhanced like game. But I guess on the other hand changing BZFlag would probably loose more than gain and it was a good game for people with the low level computers but just want to know what you think.

I don't think I would play bzflag if it became more like counter-strike, I think that leaving it with tanks is good, the only thing that might be able to improve it is if you could indapendently aim the gun instead of only having it point one way, that way you could be driving one way and shooting another more easily.
In the end Nerds with Linux will Rule the world

I think that the tanks are going to stay abstract, but the maps are geting o be extremely realistic.

That would be hard to control!

I never make stupid mistakes. Only very, very clever ones.
It is not the fall that kills you. It's the sudden stop at the end.

Their not as fast-paced or they have specialized controllers. I think that there was a thread about this, I just can't find it.

What I think BZFlag needs is a theme - Not a large change in gameplay. Tanks shooting rubber bullets is OK and cool, and that shouldn't change. But it needs a story to back it up. As of now, you have really weird maps that lack the beauty of something like pillbox, overlord, ducati, babel, etc... (guess which servers I play on ), they just aren't, well, coherent.
My 2 cents...
