Could having no "barrier" cause problems with gameplay?

LouMan has replaced the outside wall with the oval shaped mountains.

Maps that have that don't draw the outside wall just don't have ricochet on the edge.

I added a new option to the bzflag map format.
You add "noWalls" to the world object (note that
they don't appear on the radar). It is available in
CVS v2_0branch. LouMan's map is the first to
make use of it...

Alpine Assault Revision 3

Post by LouMan »

Attached are a few screenies of revision 3 of the map.

-Barns and fences were added to center area of map as obstacles
-Permanent spawn sw's and gm's were removed (now random spawns)
-Set _tankSpeed 40 (used to be 30)
-ShotSpeed 150 (used to be 180)
-Modified jump pads for faster tanks so that tanks land in correct areas

Thanks to all for their advice (esp. trepan)

It's running at louman.bzflag.bz:5151.

What can I say? LouMan, you are awesome.

I think I notice some stuff from Camelot in there? Am I right? The mountains look Camelotish and the castles are DEFINITELY Camelot's :)

Really nice texture. The texture for the barn are really nice :)
I feel a little bad to make a negative comment but I find that the texture of the mountain could be better. :? My personnal opinion...
