Can I confirm what I think I'm looking at for each image please?

1) General overview, but I'm thinking normal and specular mapping

2) Pretty particle systems

3) normal and specular mapping

4) new standard textures

5) not quite sure, perhaps some reflection or env mapping?

6) combined textures

7) nicer shadows

8 ) pretty new shot

9) vertex colouring and alpha (possibly per vertex for alpha)

Whatever they are, It's gonna take time to code into the blender importer sigh

those look cool, with the reflections and all.

PS:

for me these 3 links are "forbidden"

http://trepan.bzflag.bz/noshow/threshshadows.jpg
http://trepan.bzflag.bz/noshow/prelimShot.jpg
http://trepan.bzflag.bz/noshow/colorBox.jpg (not textured)

EDIT: nvm they work, they didn't work last time for some reason.

Amazing... definately too amazing for my laptop. You can turn these things off, right? To make it look like 2.0.4 and to have the same hardware-requirements like 2.0.4?

Yeah, these are really neat, but my computer might be kinda choppy on some of them. Are they turn-off-able? :P

I don't think 2.0.6 will be out soon, but I could be wrong.

From what I've heard (and it was only a comment or two) it won't be that long, but I could be wrong. :P

The ToDo-list for the next release (which is 2.0.6) is very short. So I would expect the same as Win xp.

Just when I thought I had it figured, trepan improves the graphics.

Very nice trepan - can't wait to start playing with it. Any chance of getting a few example map files to examine before the release hits?

Most of my new code has not been committed to CVS.
When it is committed, it will be going into v2_0branch,
not HEAD (unless my harddrive crashes and it never
gets committed ;)

I saw two of those screenshots on IRC yesterday, but not the others. I love it! Man... I can't wait until that's in CVS...

Those bullets look dangerous now... I must learn not to be hit by them....

Not to go off topic, but is anything going to happen to the Sun?

The Sun is now optional. I've also added map lights.
