When I was 10 years old I started feeling pain in my abdomen. For the following 3 years of my life I experienced unthinkable pain, and under-went all types of testing, until they finally found that I had Crohn's Disease. During the really painful days, I used to think how death was a very nice alternative and that if I could just step out of my body for a moment and not feel the pain, it would be great. I figured that my body was my torture tomb (torture2m). All good now.

Not really a story

Post by Skeeve »

There is not much of a story behind my callsign. I simply like Rober Lynn Asprin's books about Myth Inc. where Skeeve is the main Character. And then there is the coincidence that my real name, in english, is just one letter shorter and swaps k for t.

I also use my callsign as a Nickk in several other places like perlmonks.org or naanoo.com.

This is me after playing BZ-Flag for several hours in South Park ;)

To be honest: It's a Skeeve-Look-Alike created with South Park Studio. I tried to make it look as much like me as possible. It's a bit too much hair though. On the other hand: Mine is not as gray yet.

I've had mine since I was a kid in middle school. Its a deritive of Charon. The guy we learned about in mythology class who manned the boat toll when you died. Hence putting coins on the recently deceased's eye lids...

The Story of Your Callsign

Post by High Karate Kitty »

Wow great stories. RPG that was funny, she should have laughed. A-Delusion I would have rather gone to your store by far. Sky King you have earned my respect. The Vet fixed the Kitty several times then gave her "overies 5000" that he kept the remote controls for  Great to hear the process you all went through.

I never played online games before and didn't even know there would be talking (the best part). My daughter had a cool callsign Bonzai Bunny but she still wanted that, so I had to think why I liked it. Cute bunny that had talent, so I thought of kitty and needed to give her some respect. Old mens cologne "High Karate" ( it was awful too) but thought that might go with it. :)

Chinchilla

Post by Chinchilla »

Ah mine is pretty easy
a friend and I started a "Chinchilla club"
where we would just go out and tell people about chinchilla's
even though people already knew about them so
I just came up with that call sign and been stuck with it ever sence
I guess it works for me 8)

Athena is the ancient greek Goddess of War and Wisdom...two traits one needs to do well in BZFLag =)

I originally used the name Quoth the Raven (from the poem by Edgar Allan Poe) but had to change names when I tried registering it and couldn't get around my IP problem to actually play BZ anymore. I then went under a few names such as Arwen (from LotR) and Arwyn. I later changed to Athena when I started scoring a little better, as the character of Arwen is not at all a warrior (in Tolkien's books at least).

MY CALLSIGN

Post by ludachris »

The first time I looked in the HOROSCOPE I saw Aquarius and read it, it said, "There's a freshness in your image. People who've known you take note. It's funny how thinking of yourself differently automaticaly changes the appearence." and it sound more like what I truly am (scorpio). And for all I know I changed my callsign atleast 5 times.

Well, I'm short for my age, and as a freshman, I was 4'10". For one of my friends, that was close enough to 5'0" to call me cinco de nada (what's supposed to be five foot nothing in Spanish). Well, it stuck, and over time for forums and such, it morphed several times, and is now pretty much 5of0 (that's five of nothing, what cinco de nada literally means), cause it's short and easier to type.
So yeah.

At least he didn't call you "Danny DeVito" (He's 5'0")

Or even worse, BZ-wise thinking: "Mother Teresa" (was 4'10").

:-)

Changes, Changes, Changes...

Post by ludachris »

I went through alot of callsigns (about ten) so I chose Aerial Tux.

1.I like penguins
2.My dad worships Linux and so do I
3.I rock with wings (flag)

Hopefully this is where my callsign will stay. :D

My story...

I just like to go into Boxy War and just GM people on a ledge. That's why I'm called GMMan. Simple as that. Found GMs the best tool to hit people.
I haven't touched BZFlag for years, but maybe sometime I'll make a comeback.

I'm on Twitter. And I mess with webOS. This signature is not a blog.

My favorite flags are laser, fly, and cloaking, but GM's are a challenge to dodge, so I agree (sort of)

Switching

Post by ludachris »

I hoped Aerial Tux would stay but it didn't. I chose Switch because of my habit of constant name switching.

What do you think of it?

Eh, really? I thought it would be for switching all the tanker's rears when you pwned them. 8)

I don't think it's a bad callsign. Makes more sense than mine does. :o
