new flag idea?

Post by Mopar Madness »

what about a flag that makes it so when you shoot it shoots a shot foward and a shot backwards but it counts as 2 shots when loading your tank reloads ammo and you cant shoot only in one direction

Umm... Would you rewrite it so I can understand you? From what you wrote it seems that you want a flag that lets the tank shoot both frontwards and backwards when the trigger is pressed. It counts as two shots, and if you don't have another two shots left, you can't shoot, not even forwards.

I'd think that would make BZFlag a bit difficult to play. I'd like to not worry about shooting myself from behind where I cannot see.
I haven't touched BZFlag for years, but maybe sometime I'll make a comeback.

GMMan, you understood perfectly. At least from I what I see, you did.

I like the idea, Double Shot (DS)?.
It has both its advantages and drawbacks, something every flag must have. Neither side truly outweighs the other, and I can definately see where it would be both useful and deadly.
I truly hope this becomes implemented.
Games don't make people violent, lag does.

Well, i dont know. It is a good idea, but it would kinda look weird, Would there be another turret coming out from the back? Or would it be like a mine? Plus, i'd hate for it to be reloading.

How about both shots coming out to where you are facing, but one travels left, the other right along your view frustrum, Meaning, you can use the view angle on the radar as a shotguide.

I'd render this a bad flag.

If you're going to use the view angle as a shot guide, that won't work because then the view angle can be changed.

I love it!! :lol-old:

Yeah, that's a pretty weird flag idea. I could see a turret coming out in the back but under the tank, sorta like an exhaust pipe.
