Empire of Muffin

Post by A Vicious Muffin »

This is my first ever map. I call it: Empire of Muffin. It is kinda like a mix of mofo, 2 castles, and boxy war all in one. I don't really know how all this hosting blah works though.....anyways...how do you like it? :D

It is. I tried to make it a little like it, but i also based it slightly on boxy war and mofo.

I think that this is too blatantly...inspired by Two Castles.
Links don't work.
Drive-through base areas?
Box connecting camping spot to teleporter is drive through, making said spot unreachable.
Numerous other design and gameplay flaws.
Games don't make people violent, lag does.

Thank you for your critizising my map. I have tried to fix these bits, and if there are more, please tell me. I can assure you I am no expert.

Looks good, Muffin. Maybe it will become more popular than The Two Castles. :D

I like this very much, muffin...here are my thoughts, if you want them. :)
It seems to remind me of viper alittle.
Yes, I agree, there are some similarities, yet it does have a good deal of uniqueness at the same time. I like it when a person can take a playing style of another map, yet make something basically new...a grand creation of their own. :)

This reminds me of a few maps, but mostly viper, which is an ok map to base off of. I must say I like how you kept it simplistic and somewhat open, yet, you still made it artistic, rather than just some boxes and boringness. Even if a map is very playable some people aren't likely to play it unless it looks attractive. Good job there.

I can't really tell you about playability, considering I'm at school, and can't test the map out. When I get home I'll pop up a test server and try that out. :)

More to come! Good job, muffin. I might be able to find a host, but no promises at this point. 8)

I know this has been dead, but I've been itching to ask a question but it's not very intelligent. How does hosting work, and how does that person get a map (my map) onto their server? I know that you need a fast connection for lots of players, but I know nearly nothing about programming, so could someone edit my map and then host it? Or only I can?

Now that the map has been posted, anyone can edit and use the map, with or without your permission.

Technically, under the right license, they can not. But I wouldn't seriously expect anyone to abide by it.
