i think point(s) should be given to whoever captures the other teams flag because often i see team members who dont even care about flags when they play CTF and leave it up to others . and the person who captures the flag is often under the most fire and runs the most risk to help the team . thats why some people dont even try and never have any team spirit in the first place they just play for themselves like it was FFA ...
CTF stands for Capture The Flag and some people forget the point of the game ...

Yes, Chik, customizable is a word.
I sort of agree. But at the same time.... it could cause people to start to compete with their own teammates. As it is, I have met a few players that will literally drop their part in a battle and race their teammate to the enemies' flag so they can get a CTF score. That is very annoying.
Keep in mind that there's almost always a bad side to any idea.

please find me a definition of the word "customizeable" ...
(preferably one thats not from the George W. Bush school of vocabulary)
selfish teammates are bad . those that dont help each other in getting the flag and those that race to get the flag first ... even tho they r not the closest to it ..but that is the lesser of the two evils .
i would rather have a teammate that pays attention to the flag than one that doesnt .
i have seen players who pass by their own flag or the other teams flag an they were right next to it yet they didnt care and in the end it was left to someone else to carry it , or worse yet the other team . its not just that people who dont care about flags in CTF dont try to capture , but often they dont care about saving their own flag too . they just rush in to fight whoever without thinking . and that to me is a very bad and selfish teammate . giving at least one point to whoever CTFs isnt alot an wouldnt cause a great rush of greed within ones own team , but would rather give some incentive to those players who dont care about the game of CTF and maybe give them a reason to really play the game as a teammate an not as FFA...
(p.s.- i also applaud those players that are considerate enough to hide their own flag or put it safely into the corner .)

I found a definition in the Bill Clinton Dictionary. It was very difficult to find. There were two hundred pages on the definition of "if", another two hundred on "the", and one thousand pages on the definition of "sex"(although many pages were just pictures of dress stains).
According to Bill and applied to this case, customizable will allow the server owner to give points to either the team, or the player. The points can either be the number of killed enemies when the flag is captured, a fix number, or the number of killed enemies when the flag is captured divided by the number of team members, rounded up. There was also a vague reference to the number of cigars left in the box, but I am not sure that applies.

.........you kids, get out of my tank...........
You're going to dig yourself a deeper ditch.Chikorita wrote:maybe=maybe

and is "customizable" even a real word??
As Spiff and Koba said, it's a real word (look for it on-line if you like).
As for may be vs. maybe, both are valid. May be means perhaps, just as maybe does. Maybe is more like slang. It was added to our English language because so many people messed it up and ran the two words together. It was so popular, that they added it, just like "doh".
Now, I was nice enough to do an <EnglishCritic> tag for ya to let you know I'm joking. You didn't do the same about my "ad"?
[edit: typo correct for Chikorita. ]

Chik, you really want to dig yourself even deeper? Ok.Chikorita wrote:i did look for the word "customizable" online ... and its not in any dictionary i know of . if anything it is a word that has evolved from slang . i think the term "able to customize" would be more proper ...
1. Customizable [adj.] Which may be customized
Go here and search for customizable...
http://ultralingua.net/english/
This is a tech slang word, like maybe is a pop culture slang word. You won't find it in every dictionary, but you will find it in a few. Here's another reference from dictionary.com (although you need a subscription account to see it)...
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=customizable
So, care to dig yourself deeper yet? hehehe. Trying to prove someone wrong when you don't know for sure is asking for trouble.

haha i just saw that word at that one site too . and just at that one site . techno slang ok whatever .
i dont know if its accepted as proper english though ...and its not in any of the more credible resources like Websters or Cambridge dictionaries ...
point is , u knew what i meant when i typed "maybee" . and im not that stupid as to not know how a simple word like that is spelled . just as i knew what u meant when u typed "ad" and "customizable". i can figure things out and would expect anyone with a brain to also .
the last thing i want to have deal with these days is someone who is being anal about my spelling . if i were to get on everyones azz about their typos and misspellings i would never have anytime left to play BZ ....because i would be too busy being a stuck-up overcritical language nazi .
thank u <<< (YoU)

Sounds like someone needs some humility. You do realize my original <EnglishCritic> post was just for fun, don't you? Now you've blown it up intoa big ugly mess. I'm sorry I added fuel to your fire. I'm not going to post anymore about this.

im sorry DD , its nothing personal to u , i guess i just developed a low tolerance for criticism and whining these days . i've had to deal with sOmEoNe recently(not u DD) who has been nothing but an azz to mee about my spelling and grammar .
i dont mind critics , but when the criticism isnt constructive or helpful , but only serves to annoy or make fun of someone ...that is when it bothers me...
